Modern road construction and street construction were unprecedented in most cities of the country before the modern era. the emergence of modernist governments was very effective in building and developing roads, repairing, maintaining, and ensuring their safety. in 1301, with the establishment of an office called the general directorate of roads and valleys in the ministry of welfare and trade and public benefits, an organization was formed to organize and operate the country's roads. today, museums are no longer just a place to display works or warehouses for the preservation of human material and spiritual achievements, and in addition to tasks such as collecting, storing and exhibiting, they can also pave the way for research and educational purposes. understanding the material and spiritual heritage of human societies is valuable for the perpetuation of their culture, and museums play an important role in preserving cultural continuity and defining values ​​in human societies. . in this way, museums with valuable works of art and history are considered as one of the important sources of research in the history and culture of iran. in this article, an attempt has been made to analyze the developments of roads and road construction and pay attention to the potential in the khuzestan province, which introduces a part of the history of roads and road construction in iran-earth civilization, therefore building a road museum in this province is necessary.in this article, descriptive-analytical research method has been used. using the library resources of khuzestan university jahad higher education institute, ahvaz shahid chamran university central library, khuzestan central library, ahvaz municipality deputy for culture and jahad daneshgahi's websites acecr, civilica and related journals have been done.
