چکیده    Seasonal and annual variations of the precipitation and temperature were investigated during the past (i.e., 1986-2019) and the future (2021-2040) periods within iran's sun-basins. the primary objective is to extract the country's hot-spots needing urgent rehabilitation, renovation, and modernization of the conventional agricultural water planning and management, in the status quo and the future. the temporal analysis included the variation assessment of the precipitation and temperature within the period of 1986-2019 and based on the 616 numbers of iran meteorological organization (imo) stations and ministry of energy (moe) stations. the results demonstrate the hot-spot subbasins within the seasons and can be used as a pragmatic benchmark for performance appraisal of rain-fed agriculture in iran at the present time. the future projection was conducted via employing three separate gcm models of gfdl-esm2m, hadgem2-es, and ipsl-cm5a-lr under two scenarios of rcp2.6 and rcp8.5. the spatial analysis of the average precipitation and temperature led to spatial rainfall deficit projection of the sub-basins under the rcps scenarios. these latter can be used by the authorities for upgrading rainfed agricultural plannings in order to achieve sustainable agriculture under the climate change conditions.

Abstract    Seasonal and Annual variations of the precipitation and temperature were investigated during the past (i.e., 1986-2019) and the future (2021-2040) periods within Iran's sun-basins.
