all-inside all epiphyseal technique outcome for anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction in skeletal immature patient: a systematic review

This systematic review evaluates the clinical outcomes and complications of the all-inside, all-epiphyseal technique for anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction (aclr) in skeletally immature patients.a comprehensive search of pubmed, sciencedirect, and scopus was conducted following prisma guidelines. six studies (127 patients, mean age 12.3 years) met inclusion criteria. data extraction included functional scores (ikdc, lysholm), complications (leg-length discrepancy, revision rates), and return-to-sport (rts) outcomes. all-inside, all-epiphyseal aclr yielded excellent functional outcomes: ikdc scores (93.3-98.58) and lysholm scores (97.8–100). no clinically significant leg-length discrepancies were reported, though femoral overgrowth (<5 mm) occurred in a subset (cordasco et al., 2017). the revision rate was 6%, and 100% of patients returned to sports.the all-inside, all-epiphyseal technique demonstrates favorable functional outcomes, low complication rates, and high rts rates in skeletally immature patients. careful graft selection and postoperative monitoring are recommended to mitigate risks such as physeal disturbance.
