surgical management and chemotherapy outcomes in small cell neuroendocrine carcinoma of the cervix: a case report

This case report describes the diagnosis and management of a 40-year-old indonesian woman diagnosed with stage ib2 small cell neuroendocrine carcinoma (scnecc) of the cervix, a rare and aggressive uterine malignancy. the patient underwent a radical hysterectomy with left salpingo-oophorectomy, right salpingectomy, bilateral pelvic lymph node dissection, and ovarian transposition at airlangga university hospital. following surgery, she was referred to dr. soetomo general hospital for immunohistochemical examination and further treatment, which included four cycles of cisplatin-etoposide chemotherapy. the chemotherapy resulted in clinical remission, confirmed by follow-up evaluations, including clinical examinations, imaging studies, and laboratory tests conducted over a 12-month period. at the time of reporting, the patient showed no evidence of disease.
