extraction and preparation of allergens from four species of mud crab (s. tranquebarica, s. paramamosain, s. olivacea, and s. serrata) and coperrsim to other allergens

The current study aims to determine the prevalence profile and risk of allergen sensitization reactions, including mud crab, fungus, and aeroallergens, in relation to age, sex, and ethnicity. this was accomplished by isolating and lyophilizing the allergens of four mud crab species: s. tranquebarica, s. paramamosain, s. olivacea, and s. serrate. cat dander, fungus, home dust mites (hdm), and german cockroaches (gc) are four common commercial allergens that were assessed for allergic activity using the skin prick test (spt). the extracts and commercial allergens were tested for their allergic activity on 250 students from university pendidikan sultan idris (upsi) in malaysia, representing sex, age, and country. the findings indicated that both prepared and commercial allergens elicited an allergic response that was generally positive. of the subjects, 103 (41.3%) were categorized as topics. in every example, there is 32-78% hdm, 20-48% gc, 10-43 percent mud crab, 1-7.5% fungus, and 1-4.6 percent cat dander. the mud crab sensitization prevalence in the atopic population is 43.8, which is double that of the general population and significantly higher than the world allergy report. male participants were more likely to acquire sensitized to crabs than female subjects, people of chinese nationality of other nationalities, and subjects aged ≥20 years to other age groups. it is extremely sensitive to crabs. since mud crabs are also rather abundant in malaysia and have been connected to sick building syndrome, they are a warning indicator that should not be disregarded.
