چکیده

The trachea is an organ shaped like a cylindrical tube consisting of cartilage and membranes. tracheal trauma is a rare medical condition, but has a fairly high mortality rate. although the incidence is only about 1 in 30,000 cases of blunt trauma or 1 in 5,000 cases of trauma, this trauma is very serious because 21% of patients who experience blunt trauma to the trachea die within the first two hours after arriving at the emergency department (puruhito, 2016), (moore, feliciano and mattox, 2017). primary repair is one of many choice for tracheal repair and adequate but also has complication such as stenosis trachea, granuloma, wound dehiscence, and wound infection. thread materials are important factor for tracheal surgery. this study is an experimental study, with a randomized control trial design conducted on male new zealand white rabbits. data analysis was carried out using spss software. furthermore, this work uses 30 samples in each group, with homogeneous characteristics both in terms of age (p = 0.93), weight before the procedure (p = 0.79) and weight after the procedure (p = 0.93). there are differences in tissue reactions based on the degree of inflammation (p=0.003), involvement between tissues (p=0.001), fusion between tissues (p=0.04), presence of foreign bodies (p=0.00), number of neutrophils (p=0.002), eosinophil count (p=0.000), and fibroblast density (p=0.009). conclusion, there is significant difference outcome between the control and treatment group regarding the inflammation degree, tissue involvement, fusion tissues, foreign bodies, fibroblast density, and number of neutrophils.
