چکیده    The objective of the present study is to report a case of a giant cervical polyp in pregnancy, a rare condition with limited references for treatment during pregnancy. this case report aims to explore its occurrence, management, and associated challenges. a 20-year-old woman, 35/36 weeks gestation, primigravida, presented at dr. soetomo hospital outpatient clinic and was diagnosed with cervical myoma. vaginal examination revealed a pedunculated cystic mass measuring approximately 10x5x5 cm, reddish-purple in color, originating from the cervix with a pedicle size of 1.5 cm. delivery was performed via caesarean section at 38 weeks gestation, followed by vaginal cervical polyp excision. the development of cervical polyps is thought to be associated with increased levels of estrogen or local congestion of cervical blood vessels. a rare case like this, with a large, dense mass resembling a myoma, can lead to misdiagnosis. ultrasound and mri are essential for confirming the diagnosis. in this case, the patient was managed conservatively until 38 weeks gestation, and the polyp excision was performed separately after the caesarean section. histopathology revealed an endocervical polyp with microglandular proliferation. giant cervical polyps during pregnancy are extremely rare. they may be linked to chronic inflammation, an abnormal local response to increased estrogen levels, or local congestion of cervical blood vessels. when they obstruct labor, caesarean delivery at 38 weeks is a viable option. ultrasound and mri are critical tools for accurate diagnosis and management planning.
