pharmaceutical care impact on health-related quality of life (hrqol) and pharmaco-economical burden on covid recovered diabetic patients with comorbid condition

This study evaluated pharmaceutical care’s impact on health-related quality of life (hrqol) and the pharmacoeconomical burden in type 2 diabetes patients post-covid- 19 with comorbid conditions. conducted cross-sectionally from october 2022 to april 2024 in endocrinology and medicine opds, it included 350 patients meeting specific criteria.the diverse sample (69.1% males, 52.3% urban, 90.0% hindu, 98.0% married, 40.0% college-educated) highlighted predominantly overweight individuals, with low rates of smoking, alcohol, and tobacco use. despite 68% reporting medication adherence, suboptimal glycemic control (mean hba1c 8.31%) and 30.3% with poor control were noted. data were analyzed using ibm spss and spss amos and emphasized the need for targeted interventions to enhance medication adherence and glycemic control, ultimately aiming to improve hrqol and reduce the pharmacoeconomical burden for these patients.
