چکیده
|
Angiogenesis provides nutrition and oxygen to the tumor cells and surrounding tissue, which promotes tumor development and spread, and can also be a means by which cells can escape from the primary tumor and via the bloodstream will metastasize to further locations. glioblastoma requires the angiogenesis process to grow and invade surrounding structures. currently, many cancer therapy modalities target angiogenesis. growth factor receptors such as vegf, egfr, and gfr have potential as targets for cancer therapy, including glioblastoma. electric field-based therapy is one of the breakthrough modalities that has been introduced and researched for cancer treatment in the last decade. the objective of this study is to discuss and review electric field-based management for glioblastoma and its effects on angiogenesis. electric field-based therapy for glioblastoma has a downregulating effect on the angiogenesis process at the laboratory level. this makes it a promising therapy in the future.
