چکیده    Acute postoperative endophthalmitis, a severe complication following cataract surgery, presents significant challenges due to its poor prognosis for visual acuity. most cases of acute post-operative endophthalmitis are caused by bacteria, mainly staphylococcus aureus. numerous therapy are used for preventing and treating acute post-operative endophthalmitis, such as intracameral antibiotic injection after surgery. in the recent years, bacteriophage injection is a subject of research as a prevention of acute post-operative endophthalmitis. the study investigates bacteriophages’ potential to offer a rapid, effective alternative to antibiotic treatments, particularly against antibiotic-resistant bacteria. the study explores the efficacy of intracameral bacteriophage injections for treating acute post-operative endophthalmitis in new zealand white rabbits, focusing on the effect on myeloperoxidase (mpo) and icam-1 levels.
