چکیده    In the present study, we report the discovery of the poorly known striped ichthyophiid caecilian ichthyophis longicephalus from three new localities, each in three southern indian states; karnataka, kerala and tamil nadu. present records and available information on this species enable us to revise its iucn red list conservation status from data deficient (dd) to least concern (lc).
