هویت هر آدمی متفاوت و خاص، همانند اثر انگشت اوست. همانطور که انسان‌ها، هویت‌های متفاوت جامعه را شکل می‌دهند. هویت‌های انسان‌ها هم در کنار هم فرهنگ ساز می‌شود. وقتی یک جامعه فرهنگ غنی دارد یعنی هویت افراد آن جامعه از ثبات و ارزش والایی برخوردارند و بنیاد این هویت و فرهنگ از خانواده و ریشه‌ی آن از مادر(یک زن) نشات می گیرد که باعث پردازش شخصیت و هویت سالم و غنای فرهنگی می گردد. جمع هویت افراد، هویت اجتماع را شکل می‌دهد و فرهنگ هویت ساز بر انسان‌ها تاثیر می‌گذارد. شخصیت‌ها، نشانگر واقعیت های جامعه ای هستند که در آن زندگی می کنیم و«جنسیت» به عنوان یکی از عناصر اصلی سازنده شخصیت است. آفرینندگی، ویژگی فطری زن است لذا هویت سازی زنان در تمامی عرصه‌ها نمودار است از این روی در این مقاله به هویت سازی زنان در دفاع مقدس توجه شده است.
