|
Waterborne epoxy based coatings were prepared by using a waterborneepoxy resin and a suitable hardener. the formulation andoptimization procedure were carried out on the bases ofexperimental designs by the mixture design technique in which the importantpaint properties are modeled by using special cubic model. the corrosionbehavior of these coatings was investigated using electrochemical impedancespectroscopy (ac impedance spectroscopy) for a period of 21 day exposure to asolution of 3.5 wt% nacl in distilled water. coating parameters such as the poreresistance and the coating capacitance were measured by ac impedancetechnique and considered as the response in the experimental design. prog.color colorants coat. 2(2009), 23-33. © institute for color science andtechnology.
