فرهنگ لغت تازی از دهقان زادۀ ایرانی در سدۀ سوم و واژگان پارسی آن

نخستین فرهنگ لغت تازی که بر مبنای حرف آخر کلمه برای استفادۀ شاعران در قافیه‌های اشعار تنظیم شد کتاب التقفیة فی اللغة اثر دهقان‌زادۀ ایرانی، یمان بَندَنیجی، در سدۀ سوم بود. این کتاب از جهت زمان نگارش حدّ فاصل میان العین و جمهرة اللغة اثر ابن‌دُرید اَزدی است. با توجه به اصالت ایرانیِ بندنیجی، واژگان پارسی این فرهنگ از ارزش بسزایی برخوردار است، ولی متاسفانه این واژگان تا کنون واکاوی نشده است. بندنیجی گاه به فارسی‌بودن واژه اشاره کرده، ولی در موارد بسیاری هیچ اشاره‌ای به معرّب بودن واژگان و اصل فارسی آنها نکرده است. برای استخراج آنها همۀ فرهنگ مطالعه و یادداشت‌برداری شد و اینک با تنظیم الفبایی و اشاره به اصل فارسی واژگان معرّب و تطوّر آنها در دیگر فرهنگ‌ها، برای نخستین بار تقدیم می‌گردد. در این نوشتار شرح‌حال کوتاهی از بندنیجی و معرفی فرهنگ لغت وی و یادکرد مهم‌ترین منابع کهن در این زمینه آمده است.

the first arabic wordbook arranged according to the final letters of words for the use of poets in the rhymes of their verses was the al-taqfiah fi al-loghat put together by man hailing from an iranian landed noble family named yaman bandaniji in the 3rd century h./9th century ce.  timewise, it was composed between the compilation of khalil b. ahmad’s al-‘ayn and that of the jamharat al-loghat assembled by dorayd azdi. as bandaniji was originally iranian, his wordbook is of great importance. regrettably, however, this dictionary has not yet received a thorough examination. bandaniji has sometimes mentioned the persian origin of the words, but in most cases, he has not acknowledged the persian origin of the arabicized words.to take out such arabicized items, the present author, having gone through the entire wordbook, and making notes, now for the first time sets out a list of those items in alphabetical order along with their persian roots and their undergoing changes in other wordlists.  further, a short life history of the compiler is given and his wordbook as well as the most important old sources on the subject are introduced.
