معرفی و بررسی نسخه‌های خطی «خلد برینِ» واله اصفهانی و نگاهی به دیدگاه تاریخ‌نگارانۀ او

خلد برین، تالیف محمد یوسف قزوینی اصفهانی مشهور به واله اصفهانی، یکی از مهم‌ترین تواریخ عمومی نگاشته شده در عصر صفوی است. دسترسی مولف به اسناد حکومتی و اطلاع از وقایع سیاسی و آشنایی با بزرگان و امرای این دوره و این نکته که خودِ مولف در زمرۀ منشیان و صاحب‌منصبان نیمۀ دوم عصر صفوی بوده، موجب شده تا اثر وی مهم‌ترین تاریخ عمومی این دوره، از مرگ شاه‌عباس اول تا پایان دورۀ صفوی، محسوب شود. به‌رغم این‌که مجلد مربوط به تیموریان و ترکمانان و همچنین عمدۀ بخش‌های مربوط به روضۀ هشتم این کتاب که مربوط به دورۀ صفوی است منتشر شده، با این حال هنوز معرفی و بررسی کامل و مفصلی از تمامی نسخه‌های موجود و محتوا و مختصات آن‌ها صورت نگرفته است. در مقالۀ حاضر کوشش شده تا، با مروری به بینش تاریخ‌نگارانۀ واله اصفهانی، نسخه‌های موجود از خلد برین که در دسترس نگارنده بوده معرفی و بررسی شود و اطلاعات نسخه‌شناختی و خصوصیات هر نسخه مورد مطالعه قرار گیرد.

An introduction and review of the MSS of Valehe Isfahani’s Kholde Barin and a look at his historiographical perspective

The Kholde Barin, authored by Mohammad Yusef Qazvinie Isfahani, better known as Valehe Isfahani, is one of the most important general histories written in the Safavid era. The author’s access to the state documents and his knowledge of political events and close acquaintance with the nobility and governors of the time and the fact that he himself was among the secretaries (munshis) and the highranking officials of the latter half of the Safavid epoch, all helped make his work the most important general history of the period from the death of Shah Abbas I to the end of the Safavid time. Even though the volume of this history related to the Timurids and Turkomans, as well as its main portions on the Eighth Rawzeh about the Safavid era have been published, no fully comprehensive presentation and study has been made of all its existing manuscripts, contents, and features. In the present article, while examining Valeh’s historiographical viewpoint, attempts have been made to introduce and survey the MSS of the Kholde Barin accessible to this writer and investigate the codicological aspects and characteristics of each manuscript.
