بررسی و نقد ترجمۀ داستانِ محاکمۀ انسان و حیوانِ رسائل اخوان الصفا (مندرج در کنوز الودیعه من رموز الذریعه)

از داستان «محاکمۀ انسان و حیوان» در مجموعۀ علمی فلسفی دینی رسائل اخوان الصفا ترجمه‌های متعدد به زبان فارسی و برخی زبان های دیگر وجود دارد. مقالۀ حاضر در صدد معرفی ترجمه ای از این داستان مندرج در کتاب کنوز الودیعه من رموز الذریعه، تالیف ابن‌ظافر شیرازی، است که خود ترجمۀ کتاب الذریعه الی مکارم الشریعۀ راغب اصفهانی است. در این مقاله، ضمن معرفی ترجمه و بررسی چگونگی درک و دریافت مترجم از داستان، نشان داده شده است که وی داستان را به سیاق متن اصلی تلخیص و به زبانی دشوار و نثری متکلّف تحریر کرده و، به‎‌تناسب، مطالبی به ترجمۀ داستان افزوده یا از آن کاسته است.

A critical examination of the translation of the story of “The Trial of Man and Animal”, originally belonging to the Ekhvān alSafā’s Epistles and included in Konuz al Wadi’a men Romuz alZari’a

Of the story of Mohākemeye Ensān va Heyvān (Man and Animal) in the scientific, philosophical, and religious epistles of the Ekhvān alSafā (Ekhvān alSafā’s Epistles), there exist several translations in Persian and some other languages. The present survey is intended to introduce a translation of this story contained in the book Konuz alWadi’a men romuz alZari’a, written by Ebne Zāfer of Shiraz, being itself a translation of AlZari’a elā Makārem alShari’a by Raghebe Esfahāni. Besides introducing this translation and studying the degree of the translator’s comprehension of the story, the article demonstrates that the translator, in the manner of the original text, has summarized the story and rendered it in an obfuscate language and affected prose, making certain additions or omissions depending on the subject matter.
