مقاله حاضر به سه روایت درباره روابط ایران و اخوان المسلمین مصر پس از بیداری اسلامی می‌­پردازد. با هدف پاسخ به این پرسش که روابط ایران و اخوان پس از وقوع بیداری اسلامی چگونه بوده و کدام‌یک از روایتها به شکل بهتری این رابطه را تبیین می‌نماید؟ چارچوب نظری نوشتار، نظریه برجسته‌سازی است که با استفاده از روش توصیفی تحلیلی به تبیین روایتها می‌پردازد. طبق نتایج تحقیق روایت اول به کاهش روابط تاکید دارد. روایت دوم طرفین را دوستان پنهانی می­‌داند که به دنبال تسلط بر جهان اسلام­‌اند. روایت سوم طرفین را دو قدرت مستقل می­‌داند که در هنگام لزوم با یکدیگر متحد می­‌شوند. طبق مستندات روایت سوم قرابت بیشتری با واقعیت­ دارد.
