   Application of Quantize Solution Method For Solving Adsorption Processes Equations

چکیده    In modeling adsorption processes, mass balance equations governing gas- or vapor-phase concentration of the adsorbate in a porous-adsorbent particle under transient conditions generally lead to coupled, second order partial differential equations. analytical solution of these equations is very complex and numerical solutions often require high-level programming skill and long computational time. in this paper, a new and simple mathematical solution method, the quantize method (qm), is introduced and applied to solve equations commonly encountered in modeling various adsorpion processes. bulk concentration profiles in batch and packed-bed adsoption processes are calculated and compared with the exact solutions and experimental data reported in the literature. profiles calculated using the qm show close agreement with the experimental data and computational is very short as compared for the numerical solution. in addition, the qm can predict the behavior of more complex cases of adsorption process simply which there is no analytical solution for them.
