پراگماتیسم به عنوان فلسفه علم: صحیح یا دارای اشکال؟ نامه به سردبیر

مقدمه و هدف: پراگماتیسم در مطالعات مختلف به عنوان فلسفه علم و جنبش فلسفی در نظر گرفته شده است. مطالعه حاضر با هدف پاسخ به این سوال که معرفی پراگماتیسم به عنوان فلسفه علم، صحیح است یا اشکال دارد، انجام شد.مواد و روش ‏ها: در این نامه به سردبیر، ابتدا مطالعات منتشر شده در پایگاههای اطلاعاتی معتبر pubmed، web of science، scopus، cinahl و موتور جستجوی google scholar با استفاده از کلید واژه های پراگماتیسم، عملگرایی، مکتب/ جنبش فلسفی، فلسفه علم، دیدگاه، نگرش و معادل انگلیسی آنها شاملpragmatism, doctrine/ philosophical movement, philosophy, perspective, worldview, تا سال 2023 و همچنین معادل انگلیسی این کلیدواژه ها در پایگاههای اطلاعاتی داخلی شامل irandoc، magiran و sid تا سال 1402 بدون محدودیت زمانی مورد بررسی قرار گرفت. در نهایت مطالعات بصورت توصیفی با یکدیگر ترکیب شد.یافته ‏ها: با توجه به تعریف فلسفه مبنی بر مطالعه نظام‌مند پرسش‌های کلی و بنیادی، مانند مسائل مربوط به هستی، عقل، دانش، ارزش‌ها، ذهن و زبان. نتیجه گیری از مطالعات و ادعاهای پراگماتیست ها نشان می دهد که احتمالاً پاسخ به این سوالات با روحیه عمل گرایی سازگار نیست.نتیجه‏ گیری: با توجه به اینکه پراگماتیسم به پرسش های اساسی فلسفی پاسخ روشن و قطعی نداده است. از طرفی واژه های مورد استفاده با واقعیت پراگماتیسم سازگاری کمی دارند، لذا نیاز به مطالعات بیشتر برای پاسخ گویی به این سوال وجود دارد.

pragmatism as a philosophy of the science: correct or flawed? letter to the editor

background and aims: the pragmatism in various studies is considered as the philosophy of science and a philosophical movement. the present study was conducted with the aim of answering the question whether the introduction of pragmatism as a philosophy of science is correct or has problems.materials and methods: in this letter to the editor, first, the studies published in the reliable databases pubmed, web of science, scopus, cinahl and google scholar search engine using the keywords pragmatism, doctrine/philosophical movement, philosophy, perspective, worldview until 2023 and also the english equivalents of these keywords in internal databases including irandoc, magiran and sid were examined until 1402 without time limit. finally, the studies were descriptively combined with each other.results: according to the definition of philosophy based on the systematic study of general and fundamental questions, such as issues related to existence, reason, knowledge, values, mind and language. conclusions from the studies and claims of pragmatists show that the answers to these questions are probably not compatible with the spirit of pragmatism.conclusion: due to the fact that pragmatism has not given a clear and definite answer to the basic philosophical questions. on the other hand, the words used have little compatibility with the reality of pragmatism, so there is a need for more studies to answer this question.
