ضرورت راه اندازی دوره phd به md در ایران: به روزرسانی شواهد، منافع و هزینه اثربخشی

مقدمه و هدف: با توجه به تفاوت در ماهیت برنامه های آموزشی دوره های پزشکی عمومی و دکتری تخصصی (phd) علوم پایه پزشکی و سوالات متعدد مطرح شده در این باب و با توجه به مقاله مروری چاپ شده قبلی در این مجله هدف از انجام این مطالعه به روزرسانی شواهد، منافع طرح برای کشور و همچنین هزینه اثربخشی اجرای این طرح می باشد.مواد و روش‏ها: بر اساس جستجوی صورت گرفته مقالات موجود در پایگاه هایscopus, pubmed, web of science و موتور جستجویgoogle scholar بین سال های 1960 تا 2022 با استفاده از کلید واژه های phd و md یا phd to md course و در ترکیب با واژه های curriculum یا program یا course و همچنین سایت دانشگاه هایی که این دوره را برگزار می کنند مورد جستجو قرار گرفت.یافته ‏ها: نتایج نشان داد که نافع این طرح برای کشور شامل تقویت هر چه بیشتر ارتباط بین علوم پایه و بالینی و افزایش سطح کیفی آموزش علوم پزشکی خواهد بود و از طرفی با توجه به پایین بودن سرانه پزشک در کشور، این طرح در بازه زمانی کوتاه مدت به جبران این کمبود کمک خواهد نمود و علاوه بر این از مهاجرت نخبگان علوم پایه پزشکی کشور جلوگیری به عمل خواهد آورد.نتیجه‏ گیری: به نظر می رسد با توجه به شرایط فعلی کشور از نظر آموزش در حوزه علوم پزشکی، راه اندازی دوره phd به md در قالب یک دوره 4 ساله ضروری به نظر می رسد.

the necessity of launching ph.d. to md course in iran: updated evidence,, benefits,, and cost-effectiveness

background and aims: considering the difference in the nature of the educational programs of medical doctor (md) courses and ph.d. in basic medical sciences and the many questions raised in this regard, in relation to the previous article published in this journal, the purpose of this study was updating the evidence, the benefit of the plan for the country and also the cost effectiveness of the implementation of this proposed program. materials and methods:based on our search, the related articles in scopus, pubmed, web of science databases, and also google scholar search engine between 1960 and 2022 using the keywords “ph.d.” and “md” or “ph.d. to md” and in combination with the “curriculum” or “program” or “course” and also the websites of the universities that hold this course were searched. results: the results showed that the benefits of this plan for the country include strengthening the relationship between basic and clinical sciences and increasing the quality of the medical science education. on the other hand, due to the low number of medical doctors in iran, this plan will help to compensate for this shortage in the short term, and additionally, it will prevent the migration of elites of basic medical sciences in the country. conclusion: considering our country’s current medical education conditions, it seems necessary to start a ph.d. to md course in the form of a 4-year course.
