|
The present paper deals with the study of flow,heat and mass transfer characteristics of the free convection on a vertical plate in porous media with variable wall temperature and concentration in a doubly stratified and viscous dissipating micropolar fluid in presence of chemical reaction,heat generation and ohmic heating. a uniform magnetic field is applied normal to the plate. the governing non-linear partial differential equations are transformed into a system of non-linear ordinary differential equations using similarity transformations and,then,solved numerically using the runge-kutta-fehlberg method with a shooting technique. the non-dimensional velocity,microrotation,temperature and concentration are presented graphically for various values of magnetic parameter,coupling number,thermal stratification parameter,solutal stratification parameter and chemical reaction parameter. the skin-friction coefficient,the wall couple stress coefficient,the nusselt number and the sherwood number are shown in a tabular form. © 2015 jordan journal of mechanical and industrial engineering.
