چکیده
|
In the present investigation, aluminum cast alloys were produced, age hardened, and tested after adding a varying manganese content (from 0.1to 0.5%) and cu content from (1.5-7%) with constant mg-si-fe composition and al as the dominant constituent. results showed that the addition of mn to the alloy increased the tensile properties and hardness up to 0.6 percent for both the as-cast and age-hardened conditions, while their impact energies decreased. on the other hand, the addition of cu to the alloy increased the tensile and hardness properties and decreased the impact energy. © 2016 jordan journal of mechanical and industrial engineering. all rights reserved.
