مدارای اجتماعی در جامعۀ فردگرا: مطالعۀ تاثیر فردگرایی بر مدارای اجتماعی جوانان در شهر بجنورد

در دنیای فردگرای امروز که گروه‌ها، نهادها، هویت‌ها و نگرش‌های متنوعی در آن به وجود آمده‌ است، احتمال برخورد فرهنگ‌ها خصوصاً بین جوانان امری محتمل است. در چنین شرایطی این مدارای اجتماعی است که مانع شکل‌گیری خشونت و تعارضات در جامعۀ دارای تنوع فرهنگی می‌شود. ازاین‌رو، این مقاله به مطالعۀ رابطۀ فردگرایی و مدارای اجتماعی در میان جوانان شهر بجنورد پرداخته است. در این مقاله، 825 نفر از جوانان با روش نمونه‌گیری خوشه‌ای چندمرحله‌ای انتخاب ‌شدند و به سوالات پرسشنامه پاسخ دادند. پایایی و روایی آن با روش آلفای کرونباخ و اعتبار صوری تایید شده است. یافته‌ها نشان می‌دهد بین فردگرایی اخلاقی و مدارای اجتماعی، فردگرایی افراطی و مدارای اجتماعی، و همچنین بین فردگرایی اخلاقی/ فردگرایی افراطی و ابعاد سه‌گانۀ مدارای اجتماعی (مدارای سیاسی، مدارای هویتی و مدارای رفتاری) رابطۀ معنادار و مستقیم وجود دارد. نتایج حاصل از ضریب رگرسیونی نشان می‌دهد که فردگرایی اخلاقی و فردگرایی افراطی حدود 34 درصد واریانس مدارای اجتماعی را تبیین می‌کنند. بنابراین با رواج یکی از پیامدهای فرهنگی مدرنیته، یعنی فردگرایی، مدارای اجتماعی در جامعه افزایش می‌یابد.

Social tolerance in an individualistic society: Studying the effect of individualism on social tolerance of young people in Bojnord

In a contemporary individualistic world with a significant diversity of groups, institutions, identities, and attitudes, cultures are likely to collide, especially among young people. In such circumstances, it is social tolerance that prevents the eruption of violence and conflict in a culturally diverse society. Therefore, the present study aims to study the relationship between individualism and social tolerance in the youth of Bojnord. A total of 825 young people were selected by the multistage cluster sampling technique and interviewed through a questionnaire. Its reliability and validity are confirmed by Cronbach’s alpha technique and face validity. The findings show that there is a significant and direct relationship between moral individualism and social tolerance, extreme individualism and social tolerance, as well as between moral individualism / extreme individualism and the three dimensions of social tolerance (political, identity, and behavior). The results of the regression coefficient show that moral individualism and extreme individualism explain about 34% of the variance of social tolerance. Thus, with the spread of one of the cultural consequences of modernity, namely individualism, social tolerance increases in society.
