تبادلات بینافرهنگی در بین‌المللی‌شدن آموزش‌عالی؛ تجارب دانشجویان دکتری خارجی شاغل به تحصیل در ایران

هدف این مقاله توصیف و تفسیر تجارب زیسته دانشجویان دکتری خارجی شاغل به تحصیل در ایران از زندگی و تحصیل است. چالش‌ها و دشواری‌هایی که دانشجویان دکتری خارجی با آن مواجه می‌شوند، می‌‌تواند در شکل‌گیری هویت دانشگاهی و احساس تعلق آنان به اجتماع علمی و معرفتی و نیز فرهنگی که در آن تحصیل می‌‌کند مانع به‌وجود آورد. خاستگاه نظری پشتیبان این موضوع در مباحث مرتبط با «مبادلات دانشگاهی» و «مطالعات دوره دکتری»، به‌عنوان مباحث مهم و مرتبط با بین‌المللی‌شدن آموزش‌عالی است. روش تحقیق به‌شیوهٔ مردم‌نگاری است و اطلاع‌‌رسان‌های این پژوهش یازده دانشجوی دکتری از کشورهای افغانستان، لبنان و هند در رشته‌‌ها و دانشگاه‌های مختلف بودند که به‌صورت گلوله برفی انتخاب شدند. طرحواره مفهومی مک آلپاین و نورتن (2012) برای فهم کلیت تجارب دانشجویان به‌کار گرفته شد. تجارب زیستهٔ دانشجویان با مد نظر داشتن سه بافت الف) رشته‌‌ای/گروه آموزشی؛ ب) نهادی؛ و ج) اجتماعی/فرااجتماعی، تفسیر شد. این بافت‌های تو در تو امکان شناخت لایه‌‌ها و پیچیدگی‌‌های زندگی و تحصیل دانشجویان خارجی در ایران را فراهم آورد. یافته‌‌های پژوهش ذیل نُه مقوله توصیف و تفسیر شد. نتایج حاکی از آن است که به‌رغم آنکه تجارب زیستۀ این دانشجویان از تحصیل در کشورمان در کل منفی نبوده است، اما در مجموع به‌گونه‌‌ای نبوده است که توانایی گفتگوی بین‌فرهنگی و تلفیق فرهنگ کشور میزبان در کلیت تجارب آنان را فراهم آورد یا آنان را در مسیری کم‌تنش و ملایم برای تکوین هویت آکادمیک‌شان هدایت کرده باشد.

Intercultural Exchanges in Internationalization of University: Study-Abroad Doctoral Students’ Lived experiences in Iran

The present article describes and interprets the experiences of studyabroad doctoral students studying in Iran. The theoretical backgrounds behind the issue relate to &academic exchanges& and &doctoral studies& as important subdivisions of internationalization of higher education. Academic exchanges are not merely epistemic, but mainly cultural and social. Doctoral studies are also a relatively new field of study in higher education, which has grown dramatically with the massification of higher education in recent years. In order to understand the doctoral students’ lived experiences, ethnography as methodology and research method has been used. The informants included eleven PhD students in both gender, from Afghanistan, Lebanon and India in different disciplines and universities who studied in Iran in 2018. MC Alpine and Norton (2012) conceptual schema has been used to understand the overall student experiences as a heuristic, and integrative framework of nested contexts. Students’ lived experiences with the consideration of societal/supra‐societal, institutional and departmental/disciplinary contexts are studied. The framework allows recognizing the layers and complexities of studyabroad doctoral students’ experiences and integrating factors that influencing the outcomes across the contexts. The research findings were categorized in nine categories and they were described and interpreted subsequently. Finally, suggestions for future research and action are presented.
