In the current issue of squmj, jose et al. reported that approximately 46% of the participants in their study (n = 618) held the erroneous notion that adverse effects occurred only when medications were consumed in high doses.1 approximately 60% of their cohort endorsed the view that medicines prescribed by doctors are completely safe.
