56-year-old male patient with a rare dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans and fibrosarcomatous change (dfsp- fs) presented with a solitary fluorodeoxyglucose (fdg)-avid tumour with no evidence of metastasis in the left upper extremity [figure 1a].
