بررسی کارکرد وجوه روایی و پی رنگ در روایت نمایشنامه «باغ‌وحش شیشه‌ای»

مقالۀ حاضر رویکرد روایت‌شناسی و رویکرد نشانه‌معناشناسیِ روایی را برای تحلیل روایت ‏نمایشنامۀ باغ‌وحش شیشه‌ای اثر تنسی ویلیامز مناسب می‌داند. این مقاله با تاکید بر مبحثِ ‌‏«وجوه روایی» از رویکرد روایت‌شناسی و مبحثِ «پی‌رنگ و نحو روایی» از رویکرد ‏نشانه‌معناشناسی، هر دو رویکرد را به هم گره می‌زند و نمایشنامۀ باغ‌وحش شیشه‌ای را در دو مسیر درهم‌تنیده دنبال و بررسی می‌کند: 1) تحلیل رابطۀ راوی و مخاطب در ‏نمایشنامه: راوی نمایشنامه مستقیماً تماشاگران را مخاطب قرار می‌دهد و مرز میان مخاطبِ درون ‏داستان و خوانند‌گان یا تماشاگران بیرونِ داستان را مخدوش می‌کند. در این مقاله، ضمن بررسی ‏الگوی وجوه روایی مدنظر ژپ لینت‌ولت، روشن می‌شود که ویلیامز با نزدیک ‌کردن منِ ‌انتزاعی ‏خودش به راوی داستان، دنیای اثر ادبی و دنیای داستان را درهم ادغام می‌کند؛ 2) بررسی پی‌رنگ ‏روایت با درنظرگرفتن الگوی پی‌رنگ و الگوی کنشگران مدنظر گرماس. مقالۀ حاضر، برخلاف ‏بسیاری از منتقدان که معتقدند پی‌رنگ باغ‌وحش شیشه‌ای ناکامل است، با تحلیل پی‌رنگ ‏نمایشنامه نشان می‌دهد که روایت باغ‌وحش شیشه‌ای کامل است.‏

defining the concepts of narratology and a discursive –semiotics approach, this paper analyses the narration aspects and plot in the narrative of “the glass menagerie. by linking these two methods together, the paper pursues two interwoven aspects of this narrative text: 1) analysing the relationship between narrator and audience: the narrator of this play talks directly with the audience. hence, he blurs the fictional audience and all the spectators in the real world. considering the pattern of “narration aspects” which is developed by jepp lint velt, this paper studies this particular relationship between the narrator and the audience in the play. 2) analysing the plot of “the glass menagerie” by applying algirdas julien greimas’s “actantial model” and the “grand-structure” plot model. this paper challenges the common belief about “the glass menagerie” among critics who believe this play bears a lack of complete plot. considering two main plot lines, it is concluded that the play has a complete narrative plot.
