بازنمایی جنسیت مرد در رمان طوبا و معنای شب با تاکید بر درون ماﻳﮥ جدال سنت و مدرنیته

هدف اصلی این مقاله ارزیابی شخصیت مردان داستان با تاکید بر جدال بین سنت و مدرنیته در رمان طوبا و معنای شب است. مواجهه و تضاد بین سنت و مدرنیته یکی از مهم‌ترین درون‌مایه های این رمان محسوب می‌شود. طوبا در سیر تاریخی زندگی اش با مردانی روبه‌رو می شود که هریک گفتمانی ویژه را در داستان نمایندگی می کنند. در این پژوهش، با توجه به درون‌ماﻳﮥ اصلی رمان و با استفاده از روش توصیفی تحلیلی، مردان به دو گروه سنتی و مدرن طبقه بندی شده اند که هریک باورها و بینش ویژۀ خود را دارند و در ارتباط با زنان رفتارها و کنش هایی را به‌کار می گیرند که با یکدیگر در تقابل است. افزون‌بر این، علاﻗﺔ نویسنده به عرفان شرقی، تائوئیسم و بینش اساطیری وی در شیوۀ بازنمایی مردان موثر بوده است. پارسی‌پور در این رمان به ستیز با جنسیت مرد نپرداخته؛ بلکه وی به نظام سنتی برخاسته از تفکر مردسالاری معترض است که نه‌فقط موجب فرسایش زنان می شود، بلکه مردان را نیز به وادی سقوط می کشاند. این مردان روشن‌فکرانی آزاداندیش و مدرن هستند که بر ضد نظام سلطه و سلسله‌مراتب تثبیت‌شده از سوی سنت می تازند. همچنین نویسنده در این رمان زنانگی را نوعی ارزش ذاتی و مقدس دانسته که مردانگی از آن بی بهره است. بدین ترتیب، وی از تقابل زیست‌شناختی دو جنس فراتر نرفته و فقط آن را دگرگون کرده است.

The Representation of Mail Sexuality in The Novel of Touba and The Meaning of Night with Emphasis on The Theme of Tradition and Modernity Controversy

The main purpose of this article is to evaluate the men’s characters of the novel of Touba and the Meaning of Night with an emphasis on the controversy between tradition and modernity. The confrontation between tradition and modernity can be seen as one of the most important themes of this story. In her lifetime, Tuba encounters men who each represents a particular discourse in the story. In this study, according to the main theme of the novel and using the analytical method, men are classified into two groups: traditional and modern, each with his own beliefs and insights and employing behaviors and actions toward women that are in contradiction with one another. In addition, the author’s interest in Oriental Mysticism, Taoism, and her mythological insights have been influential in her way of representing men. Parsipour did not conflict over male sexuality in this novel, but what she protests is the traditional system of patriarchal thinking that not only erodes women, but also destroys men. These men are openminded and modern intellectuals who oppose the system of domination and hierarchy established by tradition. In this novel, the author also considers Femininity as a kind of intrinsic and sacred value which Masculinity is devoid of. In this way, she did not go beyond the biological contradiction of the two sexes and has only transformed it.
