بررسی و تحلیل بوف کور و موج‌ها اثر ویرجینیا وولف بر اساس نظریۀ رالف فریدمن

رمان مدرن درمقابل رمان ‏به مفهوم کلاسیک و در قالب و سبک واقع‌گرایانه انواعی دارد که بررسی و تبیین آن در تحقیقات غربی مسبوق به سوابقی است؛ ولی در ادبیات داستانی فارسی نسبتاً نوپاست. برخی پژوهشگران به قرار گرفتن رمان‌ بوف کور در زیرژانر رمان غنایی مدرن اشاره کرده‌اند. پژوهش حاضر نیز به‌منظور سنجش مشروح بوف کور در این جایگاه صورت گرفته‌ است. به این منظور، از نظریۀ رالف فریدمن درخصوص رمان غنایی مدرن استفاده شده و با توجه به این نظریه عناصر داستان، یعنی پی‌رنگ، زاویۀ دید، شخصیت‌پردازی و صحنه‌پردازی (زمان و مکان)، تحلیل و بررسی گردیده است. برای ارزیابی بهتر بوف کور در نوع رمان غنایی مدرن، به مطالعۀ تطبیقی آن با رمان موج‌ها نوشتۀ ویرجینیا وولف پرداخته شده است که رالف فریدمن آن را نمونۀ رمان غنایی مدرن می‌داند. نتیجۀ این پژوهش تطبیقی و نظریه‌محور دیدگاه پژوهشگران پیشین را درخصوص غنایی بودن بوف کور تایید کرده و نشان داده که عناصر داستان در این رمان، مانند موج‌ها، براساس تصویر و ساختار شاعرانه ارائه شده و همگی به‌صورت یک‌پارچه در خدمت نمایش درونیات و نگرش شخصیت به خود و جهان پیرامون اوست. مشروح این شباهت‌ها و هماهنگی بوف کور با نظریۀ رالف فریدمن، این رمان را در زیرژانر رمان غنایی مدرن قرار داده و در جایگاه اولین رمان غنایی مدرن فارسی معرفی کرده است.

Investigation and analysis of the Blind Owl and The Waves by Virginia Woolf based on Ralph Freedman’s theory

Modern novels, in contrast to novels in the classical sense and a realistic format and style, have types that are studied and explained in Western research and are relatively new in Persian fiction. Some researchers have suggested that the novel The Blind Owl falls into the subgenre of the modern lyrical novel. The present study was conducted to evaluate The Blind Owl in detail at this location. To this end, Ralph Freedman’s theory of the modern lyrical novel has been used, and we have analyzed the elements of the story, namely the plot, the point of view, the characterization, and the staging (time and place) based on this view. For better evaluation of The Blind Owl in Modern Lyrical Novel, a comparative study of it with Virginia Woolf’s Waves has been done, which Ralph Freedman considers it as a modern lyrical novel. The results of this comparative and theoretical study confirm the point by previous researchers on the lyric form of The Blind Owl. The result showed that the elements of the story in The Blind Owl are presented like The Waves based on poetic image and structure, and all of them serve to show the inner nature and attitude of the character to himself/herself and the world around him/her. The description of these similarities and coordination with Ralph Freedman’s theory has placed the novel in the subgenre of the modern lyrical novel.
