تحلیل زمان روایی در دو فیلم درباره الی و گذشته از دیدگاه ژرار ژنت

در این پژوهش تلاش شده است تا با رویکردی ساختارگرایانه، روایت دو فیلم از فیلم‌های اخیر سینمای ایران یعنی درباره الی (1388) و گذشته (2013) موردبررسی و مطالعه قرار بگیرند. تئوری‌های ژرار ژنت در باب روابط زمانی میان سطح داستان و سطح روایت در این آثار بکار بسته‌شده‌ تا به درک پیچیدگی‌های این آثار کمک کنند. هدف این پژوهش ارائه چارچوب ساختاری دو اثر موفق از سینمای ایران است تا بتواند راهگشایی برای فیلم‌سازان جوان و علاقه‌مندان به مطالعات سینمایی و روایت‌شناسی باشد. این پژوهش مطالعه‌ای توصیفی تحلیلی است که به روش مطالعات کتابخانه‌ای و مشاهده فیلم انجام‌گرفته است. زمان یکی از عناصر مهم و تاثیرگذار در سینمای فرهادی است و مسئله اصلی این مقاله بررسی چگونگی کاربست زمان و تاثیرات آن بر کلیت روایت است. نتایج این مطالعه نشان داد که به جهت وفاداری به ژانر سینمای واقع‌گرا در فیلم درباره الی ترتیب رویدادها، ترتیبی تقریباً خطی و متناظر با ترتیب رویدادها در داستان است و زمان‌پریشی‌های اندکی در آن مشاهده می‌شود. درحالی‌که در فیلم ‌گذشته، پس‌نگری اهمیت ویژه‌ای دارد، اما تمام پس‌نگری‌ها از نوع نقلی هستند که بازهم در راستای خلق فضایی واقع‌گرا هستند. تداوم از نوع صحنه در هردوی این آثار زمانی به‌کاررفته است که قصد معرفی شخصیت‌ها یا توجه به جزئیات یک صحنه مدنظر بوده است. همین‌طور تداوم از نوع حذف نیز در هر دو فیلم به جهت ایجاد تعلیق و گره‌ روایت به‌کاررفته است. بسامد نیز در هردوی این آثار غالباً مفرد است که بازهم در خدمت وفاداری به ژانر واقع‌گرا بوده است.

A Study of Narrative Time in About Eli and The Past based on Gerard Genette’s Theory

Since narrative plays a significant role in cinema, its detailed structural study is a promising area of investigation. In this line of inquiry, two Iranian movies, namely, About Eli and The Past by Asghar Farhadi were selected to be analyzed based on a structural approach. Gerard Genette’s theory of chronological relations between story and narrative was applied to these movies; the concepts of order, duration and frequency were detected in both narratives in order to explain the complexities of the movies. According to Genette, order is the relation between the time of the story and that of the text or discourse. This comparative study revealed that due to its allegiance to the realist cinema, About Eli potentially has a linear order, being in correspondence with the events of the story. In addition, there are a few anachronisms in the text. However, in The Past, as the title implies, flashback has a crucial role, but all the flashbacks are speechbased not visual which is in line with the world of the realist cinema. The scene type of duration were employed in both movies whenever there was a need to introduce some characters or to attract the attentions to some particularities. Moreover, the ellipsis type of duration were used in order to create the suspension and dilemma of the plot. Frequency is mostly singulative in both works in order to keep the movies loyal to the realist cinema.
