|
The objective of this study is to measure the elimination of eriochrome black t from aqueous solutions using cu and cuo-fe2o3 adsorbents. cuo and cuo-fe2o3 were prepared by modified green method, and several strategies were used to characterize it such as edx, sem, and xrd. batch adsorption tests were carried out using a number of variables, including the effect of shaking time, the effect of ph, and the effect of the amount of adsorbent. the results indicated that the removal of eriochrome black t on cuo and cuo-fe2o3 had the highest connection time of 60 min. the condition of balance was accurate using the freundlich and langmuir models. the adsorption kinetics data were followed by the pseudo-second-order model. the kinetic studies show that the pseudo-second-order model can represent eriochrome black t adsorption procedures. based on the thermodynamic analysis, eriochrome black t adsorption is an exothermic and spontaneous process, while for cuo-fe2o3, physico-sorption is endothermic and spontaneous.
