   study of photosynthetic system fluidity and long-term growth caused by salinity in cyanobacterium fischerella sp. fs 18

چکیده    The present study examined the responsesof different parts of the photosyntheticsystem in fischerella sp. fs 18 based ondifferent concentrations (17, 80, and 160mm) of sodium chloride and short time atregular intervals of 20, 40, and 60 min. theresults revealed that salinity application (80and 160 mm) after 20 minutes of inoculationsignificantly increased the yield ofphycobilisome system. increasing the timeup to 40 minutes after inoculation could restoreall parts of the photosynthetic system.then, cyanobacteria can rearrange and activatephotosystem ii, phycobilisome, andlight-collecting complex. however, the behaviorof cyanobacteria at salinity of 160and 80 mm were opposite at 20 and 60 min.compared to the untreated sample, pretreatmentapplication within less than one hourchanged in terms of growth rate and attenuationat time intervals of 24 and 96 hours. thesample was capable of moderating the destructiveeffects of 160 mm for 20 min and80 mm in 60 min treatments over 24 hours,which is incomplete. the growth rates up to96 h in 80 mm for 20 min and 160 mm for60 min treatments were higher than thosewithout salinity. while the system changedits pattern after 24 hours, the initial patternremained unaffected by time and salinitylevels after this time. in general, simplesalinity pretreatments and very short timesincreased the efficiency of energy transfer inphotosystems and produced short and longtermenergy and reduction, which could beconsidered as a major advantage for biotechnologyof mass crops.
