هگل گرایی در فلسفۀ ریچارد رورتی

در این مقاله می‌کوشیم به این پرسش پاسخ دهیم که آیا رورتی، فیلسوفی هگلی است؟ به‌ یقین پاسخ به این پرسش آسان نخواهد بود و صرف آری یا نه، نمی تواند جوابی قانع‌کننده باشد، زیرا بدون شک رورتی از هگل تاثیر پذیرفته است. بنابراین به منظور ارائۀ پاسخی دقیق‌تر، ابتدا نگاهی اجمالی به جایگاه هگل در پراگماتیسم (قدیم و جدید) انداخته­ایم تا ذهن خواننده نسبت به جایگاه هگل در اندیشۀ نئوپراگماتیستی رورتی روشن شود، سپس در بخش اصلی جایگاه هگل در اندیشۀ رورتی را تحلیل نموده‌ایم. برمبنای این تحلیل رورتی از چند جهت فیلسوف هگلی است. نخست این‌که همانند هگل دغدغۀ اجتماعی دارد و وظیفۀ فلسفه را در همین راستا  تعیین می کند. هم‌چنین وی تحت تاثیر تاریخ گرایی هگل به نقد مدرنیته و فلسفۀ مدرن می پردازد و فلسفه و مسائل آن را یک پیشامد تاریخی قلمداد می‌کند. رورتی معتقد است که پس از هگل، فرهنگ فلسفی جای خود را به فرهنگ ادبی داد، فرهنگی که ریشه در تفکر هگلی دارد. اما در عین حال رورتی همانند هگل طرفدار عقل و روح مطلق نیست و از نظام‌سازی نیز به شدت بیزاری می‌جوید و از این‌رو به نقد این ویژگی‌های فلسفۀ هلگی می پردازد.

Hegelianism in the Philosophy of Richard Rorty

This paper tried to answer whether Rorty was a Hegelian philosopher. The answer to this question would not be a convincing “yes/no” response since Rorty was influenced by Hegel. Thus, to help the reader understand the place of reason in Rorty’s neopragmatic thought, this paper considered the place of Hegel in (classic and neo) pragmatism. Later, in the discussion, we referred to the status of Hegel in Rorty's philosophy. Upon this analysis, Rorty was a Hegelian in several aspects. Similar to Hegel, he had social concerns and justified the role of philosophy in the same direction. Under the influence of Hegel, Rorty, too, criticized modernity and modern philosophy and considered philosophy and its issues a historical contingency. Therefore, he held that after Hegel, the philosophical culture had been replaced by the literary culture, which rooted in Hegel’s philosophy. However, unlike Hegel, Rorty did not support the Hegelian absolute spirit and his systematization.
