investigating the relationship between attachment styles and psychological constancycharacteristics and its effect on improving marital relationships

Objective: this study aimed to investigate the relationship between attachment styles and psychological constancy characteristics and their effect on improving marital relationships.method: the present study is descriptive and correlational. the study population is all middle school teachers in the 11th district of tehran, of which 100 of them were randomly selected as the sample group. standard questionnaires of attachment styles, psychological constancy, and marital satisfaction were used to collect data. pearson correlation coefficient, linear regression, and t-test were used to analyze the data.results: the results showed that there is a positive and significant relationship between attachment styles and marital satisfaction. there is a positive and significant relationship between psychological constancy and marital satisfaction, and also there is a difference between the level of attachment of male and female teachers, but there is no difference between the level of psychological constancy and the marital relationship between male and female teachers. meanwhile, attachment and constancy have a predictable significant power that effects on marital satisfaction of male and female teachers.conclusion: psychological constancy as a personality trait modulates the relationship between stress and illness, i.e. it acts as a source of resistance and protective shield in the face of stressful life events, and diligent individuals can find meaning in disturbing experiences, and believe in their role as a valuable and important person.
