نقش حوادث جوی بر تحولات نظامی ایران سده‌های سوم و چهارم هجری

پدیده های جغرافیایی سهم بسزایی در راهبردها و در عین حال سرنوشت جنگ‌ها در طول تاریخ ایران داشته اند. لذا توجه به آن در جهت ارزیابی و تحلیل شیوه ها و رفتارهای نظامی حکومت ها امری ضروری خواهد بود. در این میان نقش حوادث جوی در انتخاب زمان وقوع حوادث، نوع سازماندهی قوا و حتی نتیجه برخی از پیروزی‌ها، پیشروی ها و یا در شق دیگر، عقب‌نشینی‌ها و حتی شکست‌ها خود از امتیاز و در عین حال ضرورت های توجه به آن پرده برمی‌دارد. لذا این پژوهش به روش تبیینی- تاریخی و با طرح این پرسش بنیادین که حوادث جوی چه نقشی بر تحولات نظامی ایران سده‌های سوم و چهارم هجری داشته است، دریافته است که حوادث جوی از جمله برف و سرما، سیل، باران، باد و گرما گاهی موازنه ی جنگی را کاملاً تغییر داده؛ و حتی مسیر و در نهایت نتیجه جنگ را برخلاف همه پیش بینی ها دگرگون کرده است. ضمن آن‌که علاوه بر تضعیف قوای جسمانی، به‌هم‌ریختگی سپاه و یا تاثیر نامطلوب بر تسلیحات، نمی‌بایست بار و فشار روانی- تبلیغاتی وقوع حوادث غیرمترقبه‌ی جوی و سعی بر القاء خرافه ی ارتباط با آسمان و جهان غیب که خود به تضعیف روحیه سپاهیان رقیب می انجامید، نادیده گرفته شود.

geographical phenomena have played a huge role in the strategies and even the destiny of wars throughout the history of iran. therefore, it is crucial to consider them in order to evaluate and analyze the military policy and behaviors of governments. hence, the role of weather events in choosing the timing of events, the mode of organization and strategy of forces, and even the consequence of some victories, advances or, in other cases, retreats and even defeats, reveals its privilege and at the same time the necessity of paying attention to it. against this backdrop, the present descriptive-analytical research tried to answer the fundamental question of the role weather events played in iran's military developments in the third and fourth centuries ad. it found that weather events such as snow, cold, rain, flood, wind, and heat sometimes completely altered the balance of warfare and even altered the course and ultimate consequence of war against all odds. in addition, not only does this cause the weakening of the physical forces, the disintegration of the army, and the adverse effect on weapons, but also the psychological and propaganda pressure of these atmospheric events and the attempt to induce the superstition of connection with the sky and the unseen world, which itself weakens the morale of the enemy soldiers, cannot be ignored.
