بررسی مفهوم جنگ و جایگاه فضیلت قهرمانی در ایلیاد هومر

جنگ در سیستم اجتماعی جامعه هومری ارتباط تنگاتنگی با نقش،‌ مسئولیت و تعهدات جنگجو نزد خود و دیگران دارد؛ تا حدی که ننگ و افتخار، نام جاودان و شرم، وابسته به آرته و مهارت درونی فرد و دیدگاه جامعه به وظایف و مسئولیت‌‌های بیرونی او است. خاستگاه بروز جنگ ده‌‌ساله نیز با ربودن هلن توسط پاریس اتفاق می‌‌افتد که با بزرگ‌‌ترین لشگرکشی دریایی یونانیان به فرماندهی آگاممنون و جنگاوران آخایی انجام می‌‌شود. هدف از این پژوهش بررسی جایگاه فضیلت قهرمانی در میدان جنگ است. هومر، در کتاب ایلیاد به شرح مبارزات و  قهرمانی‌‌های سلحشوران جنگجو بین تروآییان و آخایی‌‌ها می‌‌پردازد تا علاوه بر اهمیت عمل، الگویی برای فرهنگ والای جامعه بنیاد نهد. پرسش اصلی این است که مفهوم جنگ چه جایگاهی در فضیلت قهرمانی جامعه هومری دارد. مدعای نویسندگان بر این استوار است که فضیلت قهرمانی در جنگ، که مردان شکوه و افتخار را در آن به دست می‌‌آورند، به آگاثوس و آرته وابسته است. یافته‌‌ها که بر اساس روش توصیفی و تحلیلی نوشته‌ شده است، نشان می‌‌دهد که جامعه افتخار را در زندگی مادی (احترام) و دنیای پس از مرگ (نام جاودان)، نصیب قهرمانان خواهد نمود و گاهی نیز این موهبت از سوی خدایان به آن‌‌ها اهداء می‌‌شود.

war in the social system of homeric society is closely related to the role, responsibility and obligations of the warrior towards himself and others, to the extent that disgrace and honor, eternal name and shame depend on arete and the inner skill of the individual and the society's view of his external duties and responsibilities. the origin of the ten-year war also happened with the abduction of helen by paris, which was carried out with the biggest naval raid of the greeks under the command of agamemnon and the presence of achaean warriors. the purpose of this research is to examine the place of the virtue of heroism in the battlefield. in the book iliad, homer describes the struggles and heroics of the warriors between the trojans and the achaeans in order to establish a model for the high culture of society in addition to the importance of the action. the main question of this study concerns the place that the concept of war has in the heroic virtue of homeric society. the authors claim that the virtue of heroism in war, in which men gain glory and honor, is contingent on agathos and arete. the findings of this descriptive and analytical research show that the society gives honor to the heroes in the material life (respect) and the world after death (eternal name), and sometimes this gift is given to them by the gods.
