بررسی و تحلیل تاکتیک‌های نظامی عصر صفوی؛ شاه اسماعیل تا شاه عباس اول (1038-907 ق.)

عوامل متعددی چون عامل ساختاری، سیاسی، اقتصادی و تاکتیکی در قوّت و ضعفِ قوای نظامیِ صفویان موثّر بود که هر یک مجالی جداگانه برای ارزیابی می طلبد. نوشتار حاضر به نقش و تاثیر عامل تاکتیکی در کامیابی ها و ناکامی های نظامیِ صفویان پرداخته است. در این مقاله، با بهره گیری از روش تاریخی (توصیفی تحلیلی) می خواهیم به این پرسش پاسخ دهیم که ارتش صفوی در جنگ ها از چه تاکتیک های رزمی استفاده می کرد و این شیوه ها در شکست ها و پیروزی های نظامیِ صفویان چه نقشی داشت؟ یافته های تحقیق نشان می دهد که صفویان عمدتاً با توجه به مقتضیّات زمانی و مکانی، موقعیت آفند یا پدافند، عِدّه و عُدّه و سایر شرایط، تاکتیک های جنگیِ متناسب با آن را برمی گزیدند که مهم ترین آن‌ها عبارت بود از: جنگ سلطانی، جنگ های نامنظم، جنگ قلعه، نبرد شهری و امحاء منابع. گرچه صفویان با درنظرگرفتن جوانب امر، عموماً در اتّخاذ بهترین شیوۀ جنگی، کامیاب بوده اند، بعضاً شیوه های نظامیِ برترِ حریف، در کنار بروز برخی اشتباهات محاسباتی و در پی آن، اتّخاذ شیوۀ جنگیِ نامناسب، هزینه های گزافی برای کشور و حکومت در حوزه های مختلف در پی داشته است.

Investigating and Analyzing the Military Tactics of the Safavid Era since Shah Ismail to Shah Abbas I (9071038 AH)

Numerous structural, political, economic, and tactical factors were involved in the strengths and weaknesses of the Safavid military forces, each of which requiring a separate evaluation opportunity. The present article focuses solely on the role and influence of the tactical factor in the military achievements and failures of the Safavids. Using a historical (descriptiveanalytical) method, it tries to discuss the combat tactics used by the Safavid army and the role of these methods in the Safavid military defeats and victories. The findings show that the Safavids mainly chose their war tactics based on time and space requirements, offensive or defensive positions, number of troops and military equipment and other conditions. The most important of these tactics were regular warfare, irregular warfare, castle warfare, urban battle, and destruction of resources. Although the Safavids were generally successful in adopting the best war method, sometimes superior military methods of the enemy and some miscalculations by the Safavids, and consequently adopting inappropriate war method imposed huge costs to the country and the government in various respects.
