افت تحصیلی در دانشجویان پزشکی به عنوان عامل موثر در آینده سلامت جامعه: نیم‌نگاهی به عوامل مرتبط

هدف: موفقیت تحصیلی دانشجویان پزشکی می تواند منجر به ارائه بهتر خدمات حوزه سلامت شود. عوامل گوناگونی می توانند با موفقیت یا عدم موفقیت ایشان مرتبط باشد. این مطالعه به بررسی برخی از عوامل، خصوصاً عوامل دموگرافیک مرتبط با افت تحصیلی دانشجویان می پردازد.روش ها: این پژوهش مورد شاهدی بود در سال 1395 بین دانشجویان دانشکده پزشکی بندرعباس انجام شد. اطلاعات مورد نیاز از اداره آموزش دانشکده، واحد مشاوره و پرونده های دانشجویان استخراج شد. 119 نفر از دانشجویان دارای افت تحصیلی به عنوان مورد انتخاب شدند و 119 دانشجو هم گروه شاهد را تشکیل دادند. معیار افت تحصیلی در این مطالعه، افت معدل نیم سال دوم تحصیلی نسبت به نیم سال اول تحصیلی بیشتر از دو نمره، یک ترم مشروطی در سوابق دانشجو و میانگین کل معدل 14-12 بود. داده ها با نرم افزارspss و آمار توصیفی و استنباطی(آزمون تی مستقل، خی دو، رگرسیون لجستیک و نسبت شانس مورد تحلیل قرار گرفت.نتایج: نتایج نشان داد بین وضعیت سکونت، تحصیلات پدر، تحصیلات مادر و نوع دیپلم با افت تحصیلی رابطه وجود داشت (0.005>pvalue). اما بین سن در زمان بروز افت، وضعیت تاهل، سهمیه قبولی معدل دیپلم و رتبه قبولی با افت تحصیلی رابطه ای مشاهده نشد (0.005

Academic failure in medical students as an effective factor in community health: A look at related factors

ABSTRACTIntroduction: The academic success of medical students can lead to better health services. Various factors can be related to their success or failure. This study examines some factors, especially demographic factors related to studentschr('39') academic achievement.Methods: This casecontrol study was conducted in 2016 among students of Bandar Abbas Medical School. The required information was extracted from the faculty education department, counseling unit, and student files. In this study, 119 students with academic failure were selected as the case and 119 students formed the control group. The criterion of academic failure in this study was the drop in grade point average of the second semester compared to the first semester of more than two points, one conditional semester in student records, and the average grade point 1214. Data were analyzed using SPSS software and descriptive and inferential statistics (independent ttest, chisquare, logistic regression and odds ratio).Results: The results showed that there was a significant relationship between residence status, fatherchr('39')s education, motherchr('39')s education, and the type of diploma and academic failure (PValue 00 0.005). But there was no relationship between age at the time of academic failure, marital status, diploma grade point average, acceptance quota, and acceptance rank with academic failure (P0.005). Based on the results of logistic regression, no relationship was found between any of the variables.Conclusion: According to the results of this study, social and cultural factors such as residence status and educational status of student parents can be associated with academic failure.
