نقد و بررسی کارکرد دین در حوزه سیاست از دیدگاه پراگماتیسم

هدف پژوهش حاضر بررسی جایگاه و مناسبات دین و سیاست در مکتب عمل‌گرایی بود. در این راستا و با روش توصیفی تحلیلی، ابتدا با نگاهی ریشه‌ای، مبانی، ویژگی‌ها و زمینه‌های پیدایش و شکل‌گیری مکتب عمل‌گرایی بررسی شد، سپس تلقی عمل‌گراها از سیاست و دین تبیین گردید و استلزامات و چگونگی تعامل بین دین و سیاست در مکتب عمل‌گرایی بررسی شد. نتایج نشان داد، تلقی‌ای که مکتب عمل‌گرایی از دین دارد، منبعث از نگاه اومانیستی و عمل‌گرایانه اندیشمندان آن می‌باشد که عملاً با انکار مبدا غیبی، دین را به کارکردهای عملی آن تقلیل داده و آن را تا حد امری ابزاری، شخصی و تجربی تنزل می‌دهد و آن را با توجه به کاربردش که ممکن است فوایدی فردی، اخلاقی و اجتماعی برای انسان داشته باشد، تفسیر می‌نماید و اجازه دخالت به دین در امور سیاسی داده نمی شود. علاوه‌بر این، سیاست در این مکتب، رسالتی آرمانی ندارد، بلکه تنها به‌ عنوان فلسفه ای عمل‌گرایانه موردنظر است.

Critique of the Functioning of Religion in the Politics of Pragmatism

The purpose of this study was to investigate the position and relationships of religion and politics in the school of pragmatism. In this regard, first with a descriptiveanalytical method, a thorough look at the foundations, basics, characteristics, and contexts of the emergence and formation of the Pragmatic School,then Pragmatists’ views of politics and religion were then explained, and the implications and how interaction between religion and politics in the school of pragmatism were examined.The results showed,The pragmatic view of religion, derives from the humanist and pragmatic view of its thinkers.By virtually denying the origin of religion, it reduces religion to its practical functions and downgrades it to an instrumental, personal, and empirical point.It is interpreted in light of its application that may have individual, moral, and social benefits to human beings, and that religion is not allowed to interfere in politics. In addition, politics in this school is not an ideal mission, but only as a pragmatic philosophy.
