developing zero waste halal tourism community in lombok

The common problem frequently found in tourism activities is environmental pollution caused bysolid waste due to a lack of management focusing on environmental sustainability. this study aims toanalyze how the waste management (zero waste) application in the tourism industry impacts thesustainability of environmental aspects with the support of youth groups in an area. qualitative researchmethod is employed with observation and interviews as data collection, afterward the data are analyzedusing content analysis. the results show that there is a link between the development of halal tourismwith the application of zero waste known to the community by maintaining environmental cleanlinesswhich is a reflection of the teachings of islam. both of these things work effectively with the support ofyouth groups in tourism villages in lombok.
