SEYYAH HUİ CHAO’NUN BEŞ TIANZHU ÜLKESİNE SEYAHATİ VE TÜRK TARİHİ BAKIMINDAN ÖNEMİ

Buddist monk of korean descent hui chao who takes a journey by sea from china to india in order to obtain some information about buddist classics uses land route on his way back and has been in west turkestan. from his experiences there, he gives important data about the turks living there and their way of living, their traditions, culture and also about the districts turks lived at the time and the roads leading to these districts. the fact that these datum the traveler gives correspond to the information in the recordings increases its value even more. one copy of the travel book whose original version has not reached to our present day is brought to light by western science men. in this short research of ours, we tried to make an assessment and call attention to hui chao and his travel book about which there is no study made in turkey.
