جایگاه توسعۀ پایدار در رویکرد مجمع کشورهای صادرکنندۀ گاز؛ ‏از نظریه تا عمل

حوزۀ نفت و گاز توان تاثیرگذاری مثبت و منفی را در طیف وسیعی از حوزه‌های تحت پوشش اهداف توسعۀ پایدار داراست. ازاین رو، این ظرفیت می‌تواند مجمع کشورهای صادرکنندۀ گاز را به‌منظور مشارکت در تحقق اهداف توسعۀ پایدار به بازیگر مهمی بدل سازد. هرچند اهداف توسعۀ پایدار در کانون اهداف راهبردی بلندمدت این مجمع قرار دارد، اما موفقیت در این خصوص مستلزم رویکردهای چندبخشی و چندرشته‌ای است که این امر موجب می‌گردد نقش سایر بازیگران در این زمینه نیز پررنگ شود. مجمع ضمن آگاهی از مسئولیت خود در قبال توسعۀ پایدار، رویکرد مثبتی دربارۀ اصول پیشگیری، تعهد به همکاری و حمایت از محیط ‌زیست و یکپارچگی و استفاده پایدار از منابع طبیعی و سایر اصول مطرح در امر توسعۀ پایدار داشته است. همچنین تمرکز این سازمان بر موضوع تغییرات آب‌وهوایی به‌عنوان اقدامی کلیدی ارزیابی می‌گردد؛ چراکه پاسخ به تغییرات آب‌وهوایی می‌تواند موجبات پیشرفت سایر اهداف توسعۀ پایدار را فراهم سازد.

The role of sustainable development in the Gas Exporting Countries Forum approach; From theory to practice

The oil and gas sector has the potential to have a positive and negative impact on a wide range of areas covered by the Sustainable Development Goals. Therefore, this potential can make the Gas Exporting Countries Forum an important player in order to participate in achieving the goals of sustainable development. Although the Sustainable Development Goals are at the heart of the Forum’s longterm strategic goals, success in this area requires multisectoral and multidisciplinary approaches, which will highlight the role of others in this area. Aware of its responsibility for sustainable development, GECF has taken a positive approach to the principles of prevention, commitment to cooperation and protection of the environment, and the integration and sustainable use of natural resources and other principles of sustainable development. The organization’s focus on climate change is also seen as a key step. Because responding to climate change can help advance other sustainable development goals.
