دلایل مطرح‌شدن «دین الاهی» از سوی اکبرشاه گورکانی در هند

هند به عنوان سرزمینی برخوردار از تکثر دینی همواره در طول تاریخ شاهد شکل‌گیری انشعابات جدید دینی و فرقه‌ای بوده است. با ورود اسلام به این سرزمین، از سویی این روند شکل گسترده‌تری به خود گرفت؛ از سوی دیگر حفظ حکومت برای حاکمان مسلمان در قلمرویی با این تکثر دینی و فرقه‌ای مسئله‌ساز شد. هر کدام از حکام مسلمان در رویارویی با این مسئله روشی را برگزیدند. اکبرشاه گورکانی یکی از این حاکمان در 989 ه.ق.، برای مقابله با این مسئله به فکر ایجاد «دین الاهی» افتاد. در این تحقیق با استفاده از روش توصیفی تحلیلی مهم‌ترین دلایل شکل‌گیری این ایده بررسی شده است. این تحقیق نشان می‌دهد می‌توان مطرح‌شدن دین الاهی از سوی اکبر را حاصل شخصیت تساهل‌گرای او، بافت متکثر قلمرو وی به لحاظ دینی و ویژگی‌های خاص دوره حکومت اکبر به لحاظ اجتماعی و سیاسی دانست.

A Survey of the Effective Factors behind the Promulgation of Deene Elāhi by Akbar, the Mughal Emperor of India

India, as a land of religious diversity, has always been witnessing the formation of new religious and sectarian splits. Along with the emergence of Islam in the country, this process was expanded. On the other hand, the maintenance of government for Muslim rulers in a land of diverse religions and sects became a serious challenge. Therefore, each Muslim ruler selected a particular approach to overcome the challenge. In 1581 (989 AH), Akbar the Indian Mughal emperor promulgated a new religion called Divine Religion (Persian: Deene Elāhi:). By using a descriptiveanalytical approach, the present article aims at studying the effective factors underlying the promulgation of Deene Elāhi, a crude form of peaceful coexistence of religions. Thus, it demonstrates that the promulgation of Deene Elāhi by Akbar can be due to his religious tolerance, the religious diversity of his territory and specific social and political features of his reign.
