بررسی تطبیقی بُدهیسَتّوَه‌گی در مکتب بودایی مهایانه و شفاعت در تشیّع

باور به وساطت مقربان برای وصول به رستگاری که از آن به «شفاعت» یاد می‌شود، از مولفه‌های مهم فرجام‌شناسی اسلامی و برخی دیگر از ادیان از جمله آیین بودا (شاخه مهایانه) است. به دلیل تفاوت در مبانی فکری این دو مکتب دربارۀ اصل مسئله رستگاری، اوصاف شخص واسط (شفیع/ بُدهیسَتّوَه) و شرایط تحقق وساطت راه متفاوتی از یکدیگر دارند. این پژوهش با هدف ارزیابی و مقایسه مسئله «شفاعت» در تشیّع و «بُدهیسَتّوَه‌گی» در مکتب مهایانه با روش توصیفی - تحلیلی، ضمن تبیین دیدگاه این دو مکتب در این‌باره، وجوه اشتراک و افتراق آنها را برشمرده است. نتیجه اصلی تحقیق آن است که در مهایانه، بُدهیسَتّوه‌گی راه اصلی نجات است؛ ولی شفاعت در مکتب شیعه نقش مکمل در رستگاری را ایفا می‌کند و نقش عمده در نجات، ایمان و عمل صالح خود فرد است.

a comparative study of bodhisattvaness in mahayana buddhism and intercession (shafāʿa) in shiism

the belief in the intermediation of the saints to achieve salvation, known as intercession, is a crucial aspect of the eschatology in islam and certain other religions, including mahayana buddhism. due to the differing theoretical foundations of islam and buddhism regarding salvation, the attributes of the intercessor (shafīʿ or bodhisattva) and the conditions for intercession also vary. this article uses a descriptive-analytic method to evaluate and compare the concepts of shafāʿa (intercession) in shiism and bodhisattvaness in mahayana buddhism, examining the perspectives of both religions and identifying their similarities and differences. the research concludes that, in mahayana buddhism, bodhisattvaness is the primary path to salvation, while in shiism, shafāʿa complements other main factors for salvation, which include the individual’s faith and righteous deeds.
