تجزیه و تحلیل مضمون عشق نزد پروست و استاندال با تکیه بر دو برداشت کلاسیک و مدرن از مفهوم آگاهی

از جمله مضامین اصلی اثر در جستجوی زمان از دست رفته اثر مارسل پروست مضمون عشق است، که می توان ادعا کرد سایر مضامین دیگر در ارتباط با این مضمون بنیادین معنا می دهند. هرچند پروست در تحلیلی که از عشق در این اثر ارائه می دهد، از بینشی که استاندال در اثر خود، در باب عشق، مطرح نموده‌، تاثیر گرفته‌است و طبیعتاً نقاط مشترکی بین این دو بینش وجود دارد، اما نباید تفاوت اساسی که این دو بینش را از یکدیگر جدا می کند نادیده گرفت. تفاوت این دو نگاه را می توان با تکیه بر تفاوت بین دو بینش از آگاهی توجیه نمود: یکی آگاهی کلاسیک که بر تعبیری که دکارت از آگاهی دارد استوار است و دیگری تعبیر مدرنی که از آگاهی وجود دارد، که از آن جمله می توان از تعبیری که مرلوپونتی از آگاهی دارد اشاره کرد. مقاله حاضر ضمن مطرح کردن دو برداشت متفاوت از آگاهی و معرفی موشکافانه تحلیل پروست از عشق و نگاه مقایسه ای آن با بینش استاندال، نشان خواهد داد چگونه دو بینش متفاوت از آگاهی می تواند به ما کمک کند تا تفاوت بنیادین و جوهره ای بین تحلیل عشق نزد پروست و استاندال را تجزیه و تحلیل کنیم.

An Analysis of the Concept of Love in Proust and Stendhal with Emphasis on the Classical and Modern Conceptions of Consciousness

One of the main themes of Proust’s In Search of Lost Time is that of love and it can be claimed that other themes in the novel take on meaning in their relation to this central theme. Even though in the analysis of love that he presents in this work Proust has been influenced by Stendhal’s insights in his work On Love – and naturally there are common points between the two views – we should not ignore the basic difference that distinguishes them. This difference can be grasped through the difference between two conceptions of consciousness: first, a classical conception which is based on Descartes’ interpretation of consciousness, and the other a modern one which is connected to MerleauPonty’s understanding, among others. Presenting these two conceptions and introducing Proust’s analysis of love by comparing it with Stendhal’s insights, the present study will demonstrate the ways in which these different conceptions of consciousness can help us in analysing the essential and fundamental difference between Proust’s and Stendhal’s analyses of love.
