سرزمین‌های دور، ارتباطات نزدیک نگاهی به روابط فرهنگی و تمدنی ایران و اسپانیا

ایران و اسپانیا، دو کشور کهن و با پیشینه تمدنی پرمایه و موثر در تاریخ جهان، مناسبات فرهنگی و سیاسی چشمگیری از دوران باستان تاکنون داشته‌اند. در قرون اولیه اسلامی، میان ایران، در حدّ فاصل شرقی خلافت اسلامی و اسپانیا در حدّ فاصل غربی امپراتوری‌ بزرگ رُم، ارتباطات علمی و فرهنگی قابل توجهی برقرار بوده و دنیای عرب از لحاظ مبادلات فرهنگی و سیر افکار و آثار، همچون پلی در این رابطه نقش داشته است. تاثیر روابط دو کشور در این دوران، در زمینه‌های مختلف چون نظام اداری، موسیقی، ادبیات، هنر و معماری قابل ملاحظه است. در قرون اولیه دوران مدرن، از اوایل قرن شانزدهم نیز، که حاکمیت‌های مستقل ملی دو کشور تحکیم بیشتری یافت، روابط آنها از نظر مبادله هیات‌های سیاسی و تجاری و کوشش برای اتحاد و تحکیم مناسبات به شکل قابل توجهی گسترده شد و در ربع اول قرن هفدهم به اوج رسید. تاثیر این مناسبات از دوران باستان تا اکنون به حدی است که به جرات می‌توان ایران و اسپانیا را علی‌رغم دوری سرزمینی، تنها دو کشور آسیایی و اروپایی دانست که بیشترین مشابهت‌های فرهنگی و تمدنی را با یکدیگر دارند. این پژوهش، با بررسی اسناد و منابع کتابخانه‌ای، در پی بازخوانی ارتباطات تاریخی و فرهنگی دو کشور و اهمیت تاثیر و بهره‌برداری از آن در روابط کنونی آنهاست.

Distant Lands, Close Ties: The Case of Cultural and Civilizational Relations between Iran and Spain

Iran and Spain, two countries of rich civilization and effective contributors to the world history, have maintained significant political and cultural relations since ancient times. During the first Islamic centuries the Arab world bridged the gap between Iran, on the easternmost extremes of the Islamic Caliphate, and Spain, on the westernmost stretches of the Roman Empire, thus facilitating the flow of cultural and intellectual exchange. IranSpain relations in this era bore upon bureaucracy, music, literature, art and architecture. Since the early modern centuries, and also from the early XVI century during which sovereign national rules were consolidated in the two countries, their bilateral ties developed exponentially and, as a result, more intense exchange of political and trade delegations between the two and drove the relations to its zenith in the first quarter of the XVII century. The impact of these relations from antiquity to present have been so intense that it is safe to assume that, despite their geographical distance, Iran and Spain remain the two Asian and European countries that bear the most cultural and civilizational resemblance to each other. The current research draws upon archival and library sources to review cultural and historical relations between the two countries and study its implications for their present day relations.
