ارزیابی اهمیت حکومت محلی ارزنجان در روابط خارجی تیموریان

ارزنجان از شهرهای مهم دوره تیموریان است و به‌دلیل واقع‌شدن در منطقه میان شمال غرب ایران، ارمنستان و آناتولی نقش مهمی در معادلات سیاسی و نظامی دولت‌های قدرتمند تیموریان، عثمانی‌ها و ترکمانان ایفا می‌کرد. این شهر همیشه در کشمکش میان قدرت‌های بزرگ منطقه قرار داشت و با این ‌حال، امور داخلی آن توسط حاکمان محلی دست‌نشانده اداره می‌شد. با ظهور و آغاز تکاپوهای تیمور گورکان، طهرتن والی ارزنجان با اعلام پیروی از تیمور تلاش کرد موقعیت خود را در منطقه تثبیت نماید. این مقاله در پی پاسخ‌گویی به این پرسش است که روابط حاکمان محلی ارزنجان با تیموریان چگونه و مبتنی بر چه سیاست‌هایی بوده است؟ برای پاسخ به این پرسش از روش توصیفی- تحلیلی و منابع کتابخانه‌ای استفاده شده است. یافته‌ها نشان می‌دهد که منطقه ارزنجان در سده نهم هجری قمری نقش تعیین‌کننده‌ای در روابط قدرت‌های بزرگ داشت. تیمور علاوه بر کسب اتحاد و حمایت حاکمان محلی ارزنجان برای تسلط بر این نواحی و صدور قدرت خود به‌سوی آناتولی و ارمنستان، از این منطقه به‌عنوان سد و دژی برای حفاظت از سرزمین‌های اصلی خود در ایران و آسیای مرکزی برابر رقیبان استفاده نمود. حاکمان ارزنجان نیز برای بقای خود در مقابل سیاست‌های سرزمینی عثمانی‌ها و ترکمانان به اتحاد با تیمور پیوستند، اما این منطقه با شکست تیموریان و خروج آنان از ارزنجان به سیطره ترکمانان و بعد عثمانی‌ها در آمده و حکومت محلی منطقه از بین رفت.

evaluation of importance of erzincan localgovernment in the timurids foreign relations

erzincan was one of the important cities during the timurid period. and due to it being situated in the region among the northwest iran, armenia, and anatolia, it played a major role in the political and military equations of the powerful governments of the timurids, ottomans, and the turkmans. this city was always at the center of the regional big powers tug of war. however, its domestic affairs were ruled by the local puppet rulers. with the emergence and start of the conguests of timur gorkani, tahrtan, the governer of erzincan, declared subordination to timur and tried to consolidate his position in the region. this paper seeks to answer the question, how and based on what policies, were the local rulers of erzincan’s relations with the timurids? to answer this question, we have used the descriptive-analytical method as well as the library sources. the findings show that the region of erzincan played a determining role in the big powers’ relations during the 15th century. timur, in addition to gaining support and unity of the local rulers of erzincan for dominating this region and projecting his power to anatolia and armenia, used this region as a bulwark and fortress for protecting his main territories in iran and central asia against his rivals. the erzincan rulers, also, united with timur to survive against the territorial policies of the ottomans and the turkmans, but this region came under the rule of the turkmans and then the ottomans after the defeat of the timurids, and its local government disappeared.
