اهمیت خلیج‌فارس و تلاش برای جعل نام جدید

خلیج‌فارس یکی از آبراهه‌های مهم با شهرت جهانی است که از دیر‌باز به لحاظ موقعیت جغرافیایی، سیاسی، نظامی و اقتصادی از اهمیت سوق‌الجیشی برخوردار بوده است. این آبراهه کانون تحولات عمده‌ای بود که از سده‌ دهم هجری/ شانزدهم میلادی با ورود کشورهای اروپایی به این منطقه وضعیت آن پیچیده‌تر و بر اهمیت استراتژیک آن افزوده شد. هم از این رو، از جنبه‌ فرهنگی به سبب تعامل ملیت‌های مختلف در این منطقه نقش برجسته‌ای در تبادل فرهنگ‌ها و اندیشه‌ها ایفاء کرد. همین موقعیت مهم موجب شد که از گذشته‌های دور نام خلیج فارس در متون تاریخی، جغرافیایی، اطلس‌ها، نقشه‌ها و اسناد گوناگون وارد شود و ماندگار گردد. با این همه، هر از گاه تلاش‌هایی نیز صورت گرفت که نام‌های دیگری به جای خلیج فارس جعل شود و یا این نام از روی نقشه‌های جغرافیایی حذف گردد.در این مقاله سعی بر آن است تا ضمن بیان برخی از وجوه اهمیت خلیج فارس، پیشینه و انگیزه‌های طرح جعل نام برای خلیج فارس که از یک سو به قدرت‌های فرامنطقه‌ای مربوط می‌شود و از سوی دیگر ریشه در ناسیونالیسم عربی و سیاست برخی از مرتجعین عرب با هدف ایران ستیزی و طرح ادعاهای واهی سرزمینی دارد، تحلیل و تبیین شود.

The importance of Persian Gulf, and abortive efforts to forge a name for it

The Persian Gulf has been one of the important waterways of strategic Importance in terms of geographical, politicalmilitary and economical commercial situations, for a long period. This waterway has been the focus of chief events that intricate it’s situation and increase its strategic importance especially with the arrival of European countries in this region from tenth A.H./sixteenth A.D century. Besides, because of cultural interactions among regional countries, this area has played an important role in the exchanges of thoughts from a long time ago up to the present. This important situation caused this gulf to be known as ’Persian Gulf’ all around the world in its very long history and to be used in different international texts, atlases, maps and various documents from far past times. However, nowadays some abortive efforts have been made to change it name.In this paper, the writer first, discusses Persian Gulf’s importance from different aspects, then he analyzes and explains the motives behind the attempts to forge the name ’Persian Gulf’. In fact, it is a conspiracy planned by a number of overseas governments, and enforced by Arabic nationalism, as well as wrong policies led by Arab Reactionaries who are antiIran and pursue chimerical claims on territory
