تجارت دریایی ایران و هند در دوره باستان (هزاره‌های پیش از میلاد تا عصر سلوکی)

هندوستان و اقیانوس هند از روزگاران کهن، جایگاه ممتازی در عرصه‌های سیاسی، اقتصادی و نظامی ایران زمین داشته است. با پیدایش نظام‌های سیاسی در بین‌النهرین باستان و تمدن‌های اولیه ایران و سپس دولت‌های آریایی، نقش این حوزه استراتژیک در تحولات اقتصادی جهان آشکارتر شد. در این پژوهش، بازرگانی دریایی ایران و هند از هزاره‌های پیش از میلاد تا عصر هلنی بررسی شده است. حکومت‌های ایران، به ویژه تمدن‌های جنوب شرقی ایران با دگرگونی‌های اقتصادی سواحل اقیانوس هند و سرزمین‌های ماوراء آن پیوند نزدیک و بر یکدیگر سخت تاثیر داشته‌اند.

Maritime Trade between Iran and India in Ancient Times(Millennia BC to the Seleucid Era)

India and the Indian Ocean have played a prominent political, economic and military role in their relations to Iran from ancient times. As political systems began to emerge in Ancient Mesopotamiaand early Iranian civilizations were established by the Aryans, the significant strategic importance of this region grew in the world economic developments. The current research has attempted to study the commercial exchange between Iran and India from the Millennia B.C. to the Hellenistic Age. Admittedly, governments in Iran, namely the civilizations established in southeastern Iran, have closely interacted with economic developments in the littoral civilizations of the Indian Ocean and the lands beyond them.
