روابط ایران و آمریکا (1324-1320ش.) بر پایه اسناد

هر چند که ایرانیان از دیر باز با آمریکا این آشنایی داشتند، اما دوری مسافت میان دو کشور و رقابت روسیه و انگلستان، مانعی بر سر راه روابط دو کشور بود. وقوع جنگ جهانی دوم و رسیدن دامنه آن به ایران، مرحله‌ای مهم در روابط دو کشور پدید آورد. متفقین، علی‌رغم اعلام رسمی بی‌طرفی ایران، کشورمان را اشغال کردند. آمریکا برای کمک به دولت‌های متفق، ارتش خود را وارد ایران کرد و این مساله، باب مداخله این کشور را در ایران گشود. مقاله حاضر با روش توصیفی تحلیلی و با استفاده از اسناد آرشیوی، در پی پاسخ به این پرسش است که پیامدهای حضور آمریکایی‌ها در جنگ جهانی دوم بر کشور ایران چه بود؟ بر اساس یافته‌های پژوهش، ایالات متحده آمریکا در این برهه زمانی با کمک مالی به ایران از طریق قانون وام و اجاره و نیز فرستادن مستشار مالی برای مساعدت و معاضدت با دول متفق و ایران کوشش کرد، اما حضور ارتش این کشور در ایران آثاری چون هرج و مرج اجتماعی و اعمال غیرقانونی اقتصادی نیز در پی داشت.

Iranians have known America for a long time, however, the long geographical distance coupled with AngloRussian rivalries created obstacles in the way of the relations between the two. The outbreak of the Second World War and its spillover into Iran was a critical stage in mutual relations. Although Iran officially declared neutrality, it was occupied by the allied forces. To provide the Allied forces with help and backup American military force entered Iran, an event which marked the beginning of a series of intervention by the US in Iran. The current article employs descriptiveanalytical method and uses Archived documents to find answers to the question as to what the consequences of American presence in Iran were during the Second World War. The research findings suggest that during this period Iran benefited from US financial aid in the framework of LendLease Act, and American financial advisors arrived in Iran to provide help to the Allies, however, this all led to social chaos and illegal financial activities
